Amber Stewart

Executive Director

Amber comes to the Atlanta Families’ Awards for Excellence in Education (AFAEE) from KIPP VISION and STRIVE Academies as the gifted coordinator. Prior to being selected to this position, she taught at KIPP STRIVE Academy for four years in various roles as the founding 6th grade World History teacher, RTI Coordinator, Learning Specialist and 5th grade Reading Foundations teacher. Before KIPP, she was a 1st grade Teach for America teacher (Metro Atlanta, 2008) at Brookview Elementary School in Fulton County. Amber graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Journalism and a minor in French. Amber started working for the AFAEE as Program Director before assuming the role of Executive Director.
