About Winners’ Circle

The Winners’ Circle is comprised of past AFAEE recipients who seek to drive systemic change in education across Metro Atlanta by developing platforms in an effort to inspire fellow educators to meet the needs of every student.

Winners’ Circle Core Values:

  • Every child can learn when educators engage them with high-quality instruction that is differentiated to meet their needs.

  • Excellent teaching and leadership can be modeled and developed  through meaningful collaboration.

  • Excellent educators have a responsibility to cultivate a community of  learners among their peers to positively impact student achievement.

Expanding Winner Impact:

Together with Atlanta Public Schools, the Winners’ Circle has worked to provide quality teacher development for top educators in Atlanta by planning and hosting a conference design for educators, by educators.  Winners’ Circle members have been invited to attend this convening to learn from and share best practices with other educators.  This upscale event that focuses on celebrating effective teachers and teaching is one way to promote the belief that teachers should be valued and recognized for their contributions.

Each year, the Winners’ Circle leadership team offers mini grants to past winners to extend the life of a past award-winning project, to implement a new project, or to offer professional development to impact educators.  Winners’ Circle members must submit an application and detail the impact a mini grant would have in their school community.
